Criminal charges have now been filed against a 29-year-old Northern California woman for collecting wage replacement benefits while working an undisclosed job at a different location. As featured in a previous story, Hey Bartender….Make it a Double (Dip), ICW Group launched an investigation following a customer tip indicating that this worker was seen working at a new job despite claims of being physically unable to do so. Surveillance was launched by our Special Investigations Unit, coinciding with the in-person statement of the worker. Upon questioning, the worker wholly denied any secondary source of income, a clear contradiction to what was observed during surveillance. Colusa County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case. ICW Group will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as the criminal justice system decides whether this worker will soon be tending to a whole new set of bars.
