Review Your Safety Program During National Safety Month

June is National Safety Month! Established by the National Safety Council, National Safety Month is an annual observance designed to educate communities on how to help keep each other safe and reduce risk in the workplace. As your workers’ compensation partner, we like to take this opportunity to spotlight the many ways we can help you or your employees go home safe.

National Safety Month is a great time to evaluate your workplace safety program. Your safety program is active and constantly evolving. It’s not a one-and-done. You don’t want to wait until something drastic happens to evaluate and adjust your prevention plans. When assessing your plans, don’t forget to utilize your work comp carrier’s risk management expertise. ICW Group offers its policyholders various services to help strengthen your workplace safety efforts. Here are a few:

  • One-on-one personalized risk consultations with our team of safety experts. We offer virtual or in-person appointments.
  • Safety OnDemand, our online resource and training system designed to keep workers safe, reduce costs and maintain compliance. You can access thousands of resources ranging from Safety Talks, eLearning courses, train the trainer curriculums, instructional videos and more. Resources are available in Spanish and English.
  • Bi-weekly, live safety training webinars led by our risk management experts on various safety topics.
  • Quarterly safety checkup plans that are easy to use and provide a list of safety items to review every few months to keep your safety program on track.
